Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Arjun Erigaisi on winning the bronze medal at the FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship. According to News of India, the Prime Minister said that Arjun’s success will inspire the youth of the country.
On X, PM Modi posted, “India continues to shine in chess! Congratulations to Arjun Erigaisi for winning the bronze medal at the FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship in Doha, following his recent success in the FIDE Rapid Chess Championship.”
The Prime Minister added that Arjun’s skill, patience, and passion are exemplary, and his achievements will continue to motivate young players. As reported in News of India, the Indian Grandmaster secured the bronze medal on Tuesday in Doha at the World Blitz Championship. With this achievement, he became the second Indian male player after the legendary Viswanathan Anand to win a medal in the ‘Open Category’ of the World Blitz Chess Championship.
