According to India News Today in Punjabi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that an old, faded photograph of three Buddhist stupas from Baramulla, discovered in France, has shed light on Kashmir’s glorious history dating back nearly 2,000 years. Speaking during his monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat,” the Prime Minister explained that researchers had noticed elevated mounds in Zehanpora, Baramulla. Scientific analysis later confirmed that these mounds were remains of large man-made structures.

PM Modi also shared the inspiring story of Sriram Moirangthem from Manipur, who used solar energy to overcome electricity shortages in his remote village. He said Moirangthem proved that strong determination can bring change even in the most difficult conditions.

Highlighting cultural initiatives, the Prime Minister praised global efforts to promote Indian culture and languages, a theme frequently covered in India News Today in Punjabi. He appreciated initiatives in Fiji that connect young people with the Tamil language. He also mentioned efforts by Kannada families in Dubai, who started a Kannada Pathshala to teach children their mother tongue.
