New York (Apna Punjab Media): U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that he prevented eight wars, including the conflict between India and Pakistan. He emphasized that he did not do this for a Nobel Prize. Trump had previously stated that he stopped seven wars between India and Pakistan; now, by including the Israel-Gaza conflict, he has brought the total to eight. During the announcement, Trump said, “Some wars I ended solely based on tariffs. For example, the conflict between India and Pakistan. I told them, if you want to fight while having nuclear weapons, I will impose heavy tariffs on both of you — like 100%, 150%, or even 200%.”
Trump also clarified that the Nobel Committee had announced the 2024 award, whereas he actually stopped these wars in 2025. He stated, “Honestly, the Nobel Committee selected it for 2024. But I acted in 2025. I did this not for the Nobel Prize, but to save lives.”
