As per the notification issued by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, the 10th special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly will take place on November 24 at 1 PM in Sri Anandpur Sahib. Using Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution, the Governor has called this special session at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial in Sri Anandpur Sahib. This rare session, held outside the Punjab Assembly, aligns with the three-day commemorative events from November 23 to 25 to honor the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, as highlighted by Online Punjab News updates.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in a post on X on Wednesday, invited devotees from India and abroad to join the events. He said these commemorative programs will provide an opportunity to reflect on the unmatched sacrifice and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal attended the ‘Kirtan Darbar’ at Gurdwara 6th Patshahi in Srinagar. Mann also announced that a ‘jatha’ (Nagar Kirtan), including Kashmiri Pandits, will leave for Anandpur Sahib on Wednesday. This jatha will travel through Jammu, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Dasuya, and Garhshankar before reaching on November 22. Three more jathas from Amritsar Sahib, Damdama Sahib, and Tarn Taran Sahib will also reach Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22–23, as shared in the latest Online Punjab News coverage.
