In a recent update highlighted under News USA in Punjabi, former US President Donald Trump has again claimed that he played a crucial role in preventing the conflict between India and Pakistan earlier in May. Trump said he warned both nations that if they failed to control the escalating tensions, he would impose 350 percent tariffs on them.

Trump also claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally called him to assure, “We are not going to war.” This statement adds to more than 60 similar assertions Trump has made, insisting that he “helped resolve” India-Pakistan tensions. Meanwhile, India has repeatedly denied any third-party intervention.

Addressing the US–Saudi Investment Forum on Wednesday, Trump remarked, “I am good at solving disputes, and I always have been. I’ve handled such matters very well over the years. I was discussing various wars… India, Pakistan… they were heading toward conflict, nuclear weapons.”
