As part of News From India Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended New Year 2026 greetings to all citizens and wished everyone good health, prosperity, and success. In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the coming year would bring happiness to all. He also prayed for peace and social harmony across the country.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi also conveyed New Year greetings to the nation. Across India, people welcomed the New Year with enthusiasm through fireworks and public celebrations. According to News From India Today, the Prime Minister also chaired the 50th meeting of the PRAGATI platform on this occasion. During the meeting, he reviewed infrastructure projects worth more than ₹40,000 crore across five states.
The Prime Minister said that since 2014, the PRAGATI platform has helped fast track projects worth ₹85 lakh crore. As highlighted in News From India Today, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transparency, timely execution, and sustained national development.
