On Saturday, December 13, the Toronto Pearson Airport Runners Club (TPAR Club) jointly celebrated its Christmas Party and Annual Function at Satkar Banquet Hall in Brampton. News From Canada Today reports that the event began at 7:00 p.m. and continued until 11:00 p.m.
Club members and sponsors joined several prominent political and social leaders at the function. Attendees included Ontario MPPs Amarjot Singh Sandhu and Hardeep Singh Grewal, Brampton City Council Deputy Mayor Harkirat Singh, Regional Councillor Gurpratap Singh Toor, Peel District School Board Deputy Chairperson and School Trustee Satpal Singh Johal, Jangir Sehmbi of the Association of Seniors Clubs of Brampton, and many other community representatives.
As club president Surinder Singh Nagra was visiting Punjab, Vice President Parminder Singh Gill led the event. He congratulated 81-year-old Engineer Ishar Singh Chahal, the clubโs most senior member, on his appointment as Patron and expressed confidence that the club would achieve greater success under his guidance. Gill also welcomed newly inducted members and highlighted the clubโs notable achievements.
The club honoured top-performing marathon runners and dedicated volunteers for their outstanding contributions, reflecting the spirit of community service highlighted in News From Canada Today.
