Mohali: Famous Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda (35 years old) passed away at Fortis Hospital in Mohali at 10:55 am on Wednesday. He was fighting for life and death for the last 11 days. Rajveer Jawanda was going to Shimla from Baddi on September 27, when his 1300 cc BMW motorcycle collided with a stray animal near Pinjore. He suffered serious injuries in the accident and also suffered a heart attack. The hospital tried everything possible, but his heart stopped beating on Wednesday morning. His body will first be kept in Mohali Sector 71 for the fans to see. The last rites will be performed near his native village Poona, Jagraon on Thursday. Their singing was not just a melody — they told a story through each song. Their songs conveyed the fragrance of the soil, the love of language, and the simplicity of life.
