India Pakistan News reports that India and Pakistan exchanged updated lists of their nuclear facilities under a long-standing confidence-building agreement. Both countries follow this annual practice under a pact signed in 1988 and enforced in 1991. The agreement aims to prevent attacks on each other’s nuclear sites.

The exchange happened through diplomatic channels between New Delhi and Islamabad. This step came despite recent military tensions between the two neighbors. Along with nuclear facility details, both sides also shared lists of prisoners held in custody.

India asked Pakistan to release 167 Indian fishermen and civilian prisoners who completed their sentences. New Delhi also requested immediate consular access to 35 detained Indian nationals, according to India Pakistan News.
