Annual Shaheedi Sabha Begins in Fatehgarh Sahib

According to Latest Punjab news headlines, devotees will gather for the annual Shaheedi Sabha dedicated to the younger Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh, and Mata Gujri Ji. The event begins on 25th December. Police and administration have arranged strict security to manage the expected crowd. Volunteers are serving hundreds of langars along every road leading to Fatehgarh Sahib.

Shromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee members Bhai Avtar Singh Ria and manager Gurdeep Singh Kang said that Akhand Paath will begin on the first day at Gurdwara Sri Jyoti Sarup Sahib. It will conclude on 27th December. On 26th December at 9 PM, devotees will enjoy a Kavi Samagam (poetry event). On 27th December at 9 AM, the Nagar Kirtan will start from Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. It will reach Gurdwara Sri Jyoti Sarup Sahib by noon, followed by the Sohila Sahib recitation.

The Todar Mall Diwan Hall will host day and night religious gatherings until 28th December. This year, organizers are keeping langars simple. They will serve only dal and vegetables, without sweets or jalebis.

As highlighted in Latest Punjab news headlines, the Shromani Committee, district administration, and police have completed all preparations. DGP Arpit Shukla, DIG Nanak Singh, and SSP Shubham Agarwal inspected the security arrangements. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and media in-charge Baltej Pannu confirmed that 7 dispensaries, 20 clinics, and 60 ambulances will remain ready for the Sangat at all times. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind set up an Integrated Control Room at the Tilla. Officers there will coordinate police, PSPCL, health, water supply, and sanitation services 24/7 until 27th December.
