Punjab news today in Punjabi – The 19-day winter session of Parliament concluded today after both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned. During this session, lawmakers passed several important bills, including the one replacing the 20-year-old MGNREGA and the bill allowing private participation in the civilian nuclear sector.
The Lok Sabha worked for 92 hours and 25 minutes. At the session’s start, Speaker Om Birla gave a brief farewell speech and stated that the house achieved 111 percent productivity. During his speech, some members raised slogans of “Jai Mahatma Gandhi.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the session.
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan reported that the house sat for 92 hours and reached 121 percent productivity.
After the session, Prime Minister Modi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule, and other leaders met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in his chamber to thank him for conducting the session smoothly. Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan strongly objected to some members’ behavior, saying that any disruption violates parliamentary decorum.
