In the latest Punjab News Today in Punjabi, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the formation of a CM Flying Squad to inspect the quality of link roads being constructed across the state. The squad includes senior officials from the Punjab Mandi Board and the Public Works Department (PWD).
Davinder Singh, Baldev Singh, Manpreet Singh Dua, and Rajiv Saini, all engineer officers, will oversee the quality of construction work in the Malwa, Majha, and Doaba regions.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister recently launched a plan to repair 19,492 kilometers of link roads from Tarn Taran. A total of ₹3,425 crore will be spent on this project.
The Flying Squad will inspect the quality of repair works across the state. Squad members will examine the condition of road construction and maintenance. According to the government, the purpose of this initiative is to ensure transparency and accountability in road quality.
