Rajvir Jawanda Given an Emotional Farewell with Tearful Eyes

Jagraon Apna Punjab Media: Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda was laid to rest today at his native village Pona, where fans gathered in large numbers to bid him an emotional farewell. The cremation took place at the same school ground where Rajvir spent his childhood playing and later performed concerts as a popular singer. The event drew several renowned figures from the music, film, and art industries.

According to the Latest Punjab news headlines, Jawanda was seriously injured in a road accident near Baddi on September 27 and had been battling for his life for 11 days at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He passed away on Wednesday morning at 10:55 a.m. Thousands of fans, along with prominent singers and artists, joined his final journey from his home to the village government school.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Jawanda’s residence to offer condolences to his mother Paramjit Kaur and other family members. Prominent names from the Punjabi entertainment industry — including Kulwinder Billa, Babbu Maan, Kanwar Grewal, Pukhraj Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, and Malkit Rauni — also paid their respects.

Police personnel who had worked with Rajvir during his service as a constable in Ludhiana (Rural) Police were seen sharing emotional moments with friends and relatives. DSP (D) Inderjit Singh Boparai remembered Rajvir’s love for music and his dedication to duty, mentioning that both Rajvir and his late father Karam Singh had served with him in Ludhiana (Rural) Police and were sincere in their work.

By evening, when Rajvir Jawanda’s mortal remains arrived at his home, hundreds gathered at Kothe Pona to pay their last respects. His mother Paramjit Kaur, the village sarpanch, was heartbroken. Her husband Karam Singh, a former ASI in Punjab Police, had passed away a few years ago.
