In the latest development covered in Latest News USA in Punjabi, President Donald Trump’s administration launched the ‘Trump Gold Card’ visa program on Wednesday. Non-U.S. citizens can now secure permission to live in the U.S. by making a large payment.

Applicants can apply via the website (Trumpcard.gov) by paying a $15,000 processing fee to the Department of Homeland Security. After completing background checks, applicants must contribute $1 million (10 lakh dollars) to obtain the visa. The website calls the ‘Trump Card’ a “gift,” similar to a Green Card, which allows holders to live and work in the U.S.

Trump told reporters that this is essentially a Green Card but “better, stronger, and very powerful—a robust pathway.” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik added that nearly 10,000 people have already pre-registered, and many more are expected to join.
