Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks on Thursday with his British counterpart Keir Starmer, focusing mainly on boosting India-UK relations in areas such as trade, defense, security, and sensitive technology according to India Today News.

The British leader arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday morning for a two-day visit along with a delegation of 125 top UK business leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics.

Starmer’s visit to India comes after the two countries signed a historic free trade agreement. This agreement is expected to improve market access, reduce taxes, and potentially double bilateral trade by 2030. The trade deal had been finalized during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to London in July as reported by Apna Punjab Media.
