News From Canada in Punjabi brings you the latest update — the BC United Kabaddi Federation, along with the six teams under its banner, has decided that no Kabaddi-related activities will be organized for the next two years.
Sharing this information, Federation President Avtar Singh Dhesi stated that the decision was made after careful thought and discussion. The main reasons behind this step are the weak economic conditions and the increased financial demands from players, who are now asking for higher and advance payments compared to before.
He added, “It has become very difficult for our teams to arrange such large amounts of money. Therefore, we believe that taking a short break and then moving forward will be the right decision. This pause will also allow us to plan better for the future.”
The Federation has thus decided to take a break during 2026–2027 before resuming Kabaddi activities.
