In the latest update from Punjab News Today in Punjabi, MLA of the Central Assembly constituency Dr. Ajay Gupta inaugurated the development work of four major radial roads leading to Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib. The project, estimated at a cost of ₹41 crore, marks a major step toward improving connectivity and infrastructure around one of Punjab’s most sacred places.

He stated that Mahan Singh Road, Sherwala Gate, Ghee Mandi, and Ramsar Road will be developed and beautified in the style of a Heritage Street. Through these roads, over 100,000 devotees from India and abroad visit Sri Darbar Sahib daily to offer their prayers.

According to Dr. Gupta, the roads will be expanded, overhead wires will be placed underground, and Punjabi cultural artwork will decorate both sides. The project is dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

He also expressed his gratitude to Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for their continuous support. On this occasion, Mayor Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia thanked everyone for their efforts and commitment toward the development of Amritsar city.
