Political leaders and protesters alleged that the UT and Haryana Police established posts near Phase-6, Mohali, inside Punjabโs jurisdiction. Sources said confusion arose after a Haryana Police bus mistakenly stopped on the Mohali side near Phase-6 instead of the Chandigarh side, intensifying tensions.
Former Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu accused the Bhagwant Mann government of โcompletely surrenderingโ to the BJP-led central government. He said the actions of Chandigarh and Haryana Police โ entering Punjabโs territory and stopping Punjabis from entering Chandigarh โ were illegal and unacceptable.
