Amritsar Apna Punjab Media: The annual pilgrimage to Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib, located in Uttarakhand, will conclude on October 10. On the same day, the gurdwara will be closed for the devotees. This update has been shared as part of the latest Punjabi News in Punjabi by Apna Punjab Media.
According to Bhai Seva Singh, Manager of Gurdwara Gobind Ghat under the Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust, the Sehaj Path (continuous recitation of Guru Granth Sahib) has been completed. Afterward, the entire team will proceed to Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib. On October 10 in the morning, the recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib will take place. After the prayers, the Hazuri Ragi Jatha from Sri Darbar Sahib will perform Gurbani Kirtan. Following the Ardas (final prayer), the Pavan Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will be respectfully taken to the Sukh Asthan (resting place) for the winter, as per Khalsa traditions.
On this special occasion, Narinderjit Singh Bindra, President of the Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust, will honor the officers of the 9th Battalion of the Indian Army and the Independent Corps. Every year, before the annual yatra begins, they remove the snow accumulated around the gurdwara and prepare the pathways for pilgrims.
