Nitish Kumar Takes Oath as Bihar Chief Minister for a Record 10th Time

According to Chandigarh news in Punjabi, JDU supremo Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time on Thursday at Patnaโ€™s historic Gandhi Maidan. Governor Arif Mohammed Khan administered the oath and welcomed the 26 members of the new cabinet.

Senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary, widely known as the OBC face of the party, joined the cabinet as a minister. Son of former minister Shakuni Choudhary, Samrat represents the Bihar Legislative Council and earlier served as Deputy Chief Minister in the NDA government. He won the Tarapur Assembly seat in this election.

Award-winning shooter Shreyasi Singh, who won the Jamui seat for the second consecutive time, also entered the cabinet. Rama Nishad, wife of former Muzaffarpur MP Ajay Nishad, joined BJP during the elections and won the Aurai seat; she now holds a cabinet position. JDUโ€™s nine-time MLA Bijendra Prasad Yadav rejoined the cabinet as well.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and several top NDA leaders attended the ceremony along with chief ministers from NDA-ruled states, marking a major update in Chandigarh news in Punjabi.
