245 Indians returned home, including 125 students
New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: India has described the violent protests in Bangladesh as an ‘internal matter’ of the neighboring country. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that currently about 15,000 Indian citizens, including 8,000 students, are in Bangladesh and all are safe. The Ministry of External Affairs said that till 8 pm, 245 Indians have returned home, including 125 students.
He said, “We consider the ongoing protests in Bangladesh as its internal matter. Recently, we had also issued an advisory for the safety of Indians living in Bangladesh. According to Jaiswal, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar himself is also keeping an eye on this matter. Meanwhile, due to violence in Bangladesh, Indian Railways has canceled two trains. An official said that Kolkata-Dhaka Maitri Express has been canceled today, which will remain canceled tomorrow also.
