Appeal made to ensure security of Gurudwaras and temples
New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Ravneet Singh Bittu expressed concern over the attacks on ‘Sikh Gurudwaras and Hindu temples’ in Bangladesh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar was urged to take up the issue with Bangladesh military authorities or the interim government. Minister Bittu said in a letter to the Foreign Minister, “The population of Sikhs in Bangladesh is very less and some anti-India elements are vandalizing religious places. The Sikh community is worried about the security of religious places in Bangladesh. Therefore, I request you to take up this issue with the concerned military authorities/Interim Government of Bangladesh and ensure the safety of the Hindu temples including Gurdwara Nanak Shahi and Gurdwara Sangat Tola in Dhaka.
