Philippines : Apna Punjab Media : The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is set to implement major changes in its visa application process starting September 28, which includes the opening of a new Visa Application Center (VAC) in Parañaque City, the launch of a redesigned online visa appointment system, and the expansion of call center services for U.S. citizens residing in the Philippines. The U.S. Embassy said in a statement that the new Visa Application Center will be located at the Parqal Building 8, Level 3, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City. All immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applicants with interviews scheduled on or after September 28 will now be required to book a separate appointment at the VAC to undergo photo capture and fingerprint scanning before their visa interview at the U.S. Embassy on Roxas Boulevard. The process will be facilitated through the updated visa appointment system, which promises a more secure and user-friendly interface for applicants. Visa applicants who have already scheduled their interviews before September 28 are exempt from the new VAC requirement and can proceed directly to the U.S. Embassy for their appointments as originally planned.
