Hyderabad: Apna Punjab Media: Two students from Andhra Pradesh, who were pursuing higher education in Australia, accidentally drowned while swimming at Mila Mila Falls near Cairns in Queensland. The deceased were identified as Chaitanya Muparaju of Bapatla district and Surya Teja from Prakasam district has been cast as Boba. There is no information available about the students, but it is said that both of them will be around 20 years of age. An online appeal to raise funds to cover the funeral expenses of their families was completed by Wednesday afternoon.
According to Queensland Police, when one of the two friends was seen fighting in the water, the other tried to help but both drowned. Queensland Police officers were notified and police conducted a search at 8.50am on Tuesday. A helicopter was also pressed into service to provide immediate medical aid to the students, while ambulance personnel were deployed. It is being told that when the accident happened, there was another person with both of them.
