New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that it is necessary to increase coordination between security and law agencies to dismantle terrorist networks and their support mechanisms to deal with the emerging security threats in the country. Chairing a high-level meeting, Shah directed the heads of security agencies and other intelligence and law enforcement agencies to adopt a ‘whole of government’ approach to national security. The Home Minister also reviewed the functioning of the Multi Agency Center (MAC) of the Intelligence Bureau, which is responsible for dealing with the security challenges of the country.
Sources said Amit Shah stressed on better coordination among all agencies to dismantle terrorist networks and their support system to deal with the emerging security threats in the country. He also said that MAC should continue to serve as a platform for proactive and timely actionable intelligence sharing among various stakeholders. The Home Minister reiterated that security agencies must always be one step ahead to face new and emerging challenges.
