Two youths are from Malud while one girl is from Samana
Vancouver: Apna Punjab Media: Two girls and a boy who came from Punjab on study visa died in a road accident in the northern province of New Brunswick, Canada. Among them were two cousins. The deceased have been identified as Harman Somal (23), daughter Mandeep Singh, resident of Malod, Navjot Somal (19), son Ranjit Singh, resident of Malod (both cousins) and their friend Rashamdeep Kaur (24), daughter. Bhupinder Singh, resident of Samana.
Harman Somal (23), daughter of Mandeep Singh, a resident of Malaud town in Payal sub-division, went to study in Canada a few years ago and has now become a permanent resident after completing her studies. His cousin Navjot Somal (19), son of Ranjit Singh, a resident of Malud and his friend Rashamdeep Kaur, a resident of Samana, were traveling in the car with their fourth companion, when the car overturned due to a burst tire on the highway and the accident took place. All the above three youths died while the driver was injured.
Navjot Somal went to study in Canada three months ago. The victim’s family has appealed to the government for help in bringing back the bodies of the deceased youths. Lightweight MLA Engineer Manwinder Singh Gyaspura reached the house of the victim’s family and expressed his grief. MP from Fatehgarh Sahib Dr. Amar Singh Boparai said that he has sought help from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to bring back the dead bodies.
