Ohio: Apna Punjab Media: Yesterday, the seventh annual ‘Cincinnati Festival of Faiths’ (World Religions Summit) was held at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. In this conference organized by Equizon, people from 13 major religions and more than 30 religious organizations of the world once again united and participated in large numbers to teach and learn about different religions, cultures. Sharing information about the event, Sikh community activist Sameep Singh Gumtala said that Sikhs from Cincinnati and the nearby city of Dayton participated in the event and like last year, langar was also served for the guests of the Sikh community. The guests were given information about the importance of langar and service in Sikhism. The inauguration of this festival started with prayers of different religions. Representatives of different religions sang praises of God according to their religious beliefs. Late Jaipal Singh who was one of the main founders of this conference. His wife Bibi Asees Kaur explained the basic teachings of Sikhism. He said that in Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Sahib says ‘Na Ko Bairi Nahi Bigana Sagal Sangi Hum Kau Baniyai’ whose message is ‘Na Ko Bairi, Na Ko Bai Bairi, Mohi Prem’ for all. Head Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Harpal Singh of Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib Punjab also specially participated in this program. Praising the Sikh community, he said that the way the Sikh community is trying to bring out its national presence and present its national identity in front of the world, I salute their spirit.
