The Jathedars of Panj Takht Sahib ordered to hang Basanti or Surmai Nishan Sahib instead of Kesari Nishan Sahib on Guru houses.

Amritsar: Apna Punjab Media: Jathedars of Panj Takht Sahib ordered to hang Basanti Nishan Sahib instead of Kesari Nishan Sahib on Guru houses. Actually these orders have been issued by SGPC. In the order issued by the SGPC, it has been said that the color of Nishan Sahib’s dress should be Basanti or Sarmai only, because Kesari Nishan gives the illusion of saffron color. After the complaint reached Shri Akal Takht Sahib, in a meeting held on 15th July, the five sahibans issued orders to present a dress of the prescribed color to the sahib. In this regard, Shri Akal Takht Sahib has sent a letter to the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee and asked them to make the Sangat aware of this.
