California: Apna Punjab Media: Fresno, a city in California’s Central Valley, holds a special parade in downtown Fresno every year during Veterans Day. In which the Sikh Council of Central Californians participated with its members in the 104th parade held in 2023 last year. Where Sikhs supported a contingent of Sikh soldiers in America. It included local Sikh military men and women who had served in the US Army. Apart from this, the Sikh community has been serving tea, water, coffee and other food items to the people participating in the parade for many years. Seeing this enthusiasm and support of Sikh Kaushal from Central Californians, their Vice President Mr. Gabe Wilsner from the veteran organization specially reached out to Gurudwara Sri Ravidas Sabha Cherry Avenue in Fresno and paid respect to Sikh Kaushal. At this time Simran Kaur Brar was also with him. While members of the Sikh Council of Central California were present. At present Sikh Kaushal General Secretary S. Speaking, Sukhdev Singh Cheema thanked Mr Gabb and all the veterans. Apart from this, he expressed his commitment to provide further cooperation. It is noteworthy here that such services encourage our children to join the army of a great country like America. There they also promote our Sikh identity. In the end, this special gathering was memorable with good thoughts, love for the country and harmony among the communities.
