Millions of Americans forced to live without electricity
Sacramento, California (Huson Ladoa Banga) – Heavy storms and rains have caused widespread impact on people’s lives in the coastal area of the Texas state of the United States. The storm has caused destruction on a large scale. The storm affected much of East Texas. Torrential rain and winds up to 80 mph disrupted life in the Houston area, the National Hurricane Center said in a statement. A dangerous situation has arisen due to which a rescue operation had to be conducted. According to the Centre, hundreds of flights have been affected and more than 20 lakh people are living without electricity. Houston Mayor John Whitmire said much of the city was under more than 10 inches of water. A tree fell on a home in a semi-urban area of Harris County, northeast of Houston, and a 74-year-old man was killed when a tree fell on a home in northern Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
