Chandigarh: Apna Punjab Media: Taking major action against the leaders who are angry with the party, Shiromani Akali Dal has today expelled eight leaders from the party. These include the names of Gurpratap Singh Wadala, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Surjit Singh Rakhra, Surinder Singh Contractor and Charanjit Singh Brar. This action has been taken by the disciplinary committee of Shiromani Akali Dal, which has dismissed the primary membership of these eight leaders. Rati has also removed the existing area in-charges of seven assembly constituencies.
According to the information, the meeting of the disciplinary committee of Shiromani Akali was held in Chandigarh under the leadership of committee chairman Balwinder Singh Bhundar, in which committee members Maheshinder Singh Grewal and Gulzar Singh Ranike participated (through telephone). He discussed the anti-party activities being carried out by some senior party leaders. After discussion, the disciplinary committee said that these leaders are continuously doing activities to tarnish the image of the party, due to which the said leaders have been expelled from the party. Disciplinary Committee Chairman Shri Bhundar while talking to the journalists said that after a long discussion the committee has come to the conclusion that the only objective of all the above mentioned leaders is to weaken the Shiromani Akali Dal. Enemies of the party. The party will not tolerate these actions, hence the above mentioned leaders have been dismissed from the primary membership of the party. He said that the party’s working committee passed a resolution in the meeting held on June 26 and has sincerely appealed to all these leaders to come and say whatever they have to say at the party forum. If instead of speaking in the meeting, they go to the media and spread false propaganda about ending the party, then it will be understood that they do not have confidence in the party. He said that these leaders have openly and systematically campaigned against the party, which will not be tolerated. He said that disciplinary action will be taken against the violators.
