Washington: Apna Punjab Media: Former US President Donald Trump has admitted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a ‘big deal’ with western countries on the exchange of prisoners. The US, Russia, Germany and other Western countries reached a deal to swap 24 prisoners, one of the largest prisoner swap deals since the end of the Cold War. “By the way, I want to congratulate Vladimir Putin on making another big deal,” Trump said at a campaign event in Atlanta, Georgia. The US administration has previously made “catastrophic” mistakes in negotiating the deal and questioned its facts and the possibility of cash payments to Russia. Russia’s Federal Security Service confirmed on Thursday that eight Russians detained in several NATO countries have returned home. A plane carrying him from Ankara reached Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport late Thursday night, where Putin welcomed him. In return, Russia has released 16 people, including seven Russian and five German citizens. The list of Russians returning home includes Artem Dlatsev, Anna Dlatseva, Pavel Rubtsov, Vadim Konoshchenok, Mikhail Mikushin, Roman Seleznev, Vladislav Klyushin and a number of minors, a Russian intelligence source said on Thursday.
