In Punjab news today in Punjabi, a new controversy has emerged before the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections. Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has accused the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of targeting Akali workers.

Badal shared an audio clip on social media. He claimed it was a conference call of senior Patiala Police officials. According to him, the audio shows that Punjab Police is working under political pressure. He alleged that the ruling party wants to ensure the victory of its own candidates. Badal called it a serious attack on democracy.

A senior police officer denied the allegation. He said the audio is fake and AI-generated. He added that no such discussion or instruction was ever issued.

Patiala Police also reacted on X. The police said a fake AI-generated video is being circulated on social media. They stated that it has been created to mislead people and disturb law and order. The police announced strict legal action against those responsible. They also urged citizens not to believe or spread misinformation. Punjab Police said it is fully committed to free and fair elections.

Sukhbir Badal later said he has the full recording of the alleged call. He claimed the audio reveals plans to influence the upcoming elections. He also alleged that the ruling party wants to target opposition candidates on their way to nomination centers.
