SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Hussain Ladoa Banga) – A 43-year-old man has reportedly died after being shot by police who were deployed to help provide security near the Republican convention site in Milwaukee, Ohio. Local police officials say that the killed man had knives in both his hands and was trying to attack another person. The deceased man has been identified as Samuel Sharp Jr. Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said in a statement that officers saw a man holding a knife and arguing with another unarmed man. Police immediately intervened and asked the man to drop the knife but he refused to do so. After this the police killed him. The police chief said the police officer, who was from Columbus, was forced to take action to save someone’s life. Norman said two knives were recovered from the scene.
