New York: Apna Punjab Media: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the opening of new consulates in two US cities, Boston and Los Angeles. It is noteworthy that India currently has six consulates in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Additionally, the Indian Embassy is in the capital Washington DC and the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations (UN) is located in New York City. After the PM’s address, the Prime Minister also held bilateral talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York. Speaking to the Palestinian President, he expressed his “deep concern” over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and reaffirmed India’s continued support for the Palestinian people and Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
