New York: Apna Punjab Media: PM Modi, who arrived in New York, USA to address the Future Summit at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, said that reforms in global institutions are important for world peace and development. The two-day summit began on Sunday (September 22, 2024), two days before a high-level meeting of world leaders begins at the sprawling United Nations complex in New York City. The challenge was issued a year ago after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a global warning about the survival of humanity and the planet. He called on world leaders to make a new commitment to multilateralism, which is the foundation of the United Nations and many other global organizations, and begin overhauling the aging global architecture to meet a rapidly changing world. Addressing thousands of supporters in New York’s Long Island, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about his general election performance, highlighting the government’s achievements in the last 10 years and future plans, as he repeatedly stressed on the Indian Leaders of Quad group countries praised the migrants, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held their sixth summit-level meeting at Mr Biden’s former school, Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware.
