People in Israel went on strike against the government after failing to return the captives in Gaza

Shops and other establishments remained closed at most places in the country, including the main international airport. However, the impact of the bandh was less in some areas, due to which political divisions have also emerged in the country. Thousands of Israelis took to the streets on Sunday after the bodies of six prisoners were found in Gaza. Families of the detainees and the general public accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that if he had made a deal with Hamas, their lives would be returning home today. He demanded that the government sign a ceasefire agreement with Hamas to ensure the release of remaining detainees.
