Ambala: Apna Punjab Media: Paris Olympics bronze medalist shooter Sarbjot Singh was given a warm welcome upon reaching his village Dheen. He reached his village at 12 o’clock last night. Mother Harjeet Kaur and father Jitinder Singh hugged him and gave him love. There was a queue of people this morning to meet Sarbjot. The villagers loaded them with notes and garlands of flowers and celebrated by playing Bhangra to the beat of drums. He says that it is a matter of pride for him that Sarbjot has emerged from a small village and made his mark in the world.
While talking to journalists, Sarbjot Singh said that he feels very good after returning to his home and village today. He would like to give credit for the victory to his family, coach and Sports Authority of India. He said, “I would like to remove the shortcomings this time and want to change the color of the medal next time.” My next target is the Olympics to be held in Los Angeles (LA), USA in 2028.” Sarbjot said that this time he got to learn a lot by going to the Olympics.
