Jammu: Apna Panja Media: One terrorist was killed and an army soldier was injured in the ongoing military operation against terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said the terrorists attacked a newly constructed army post near the house of Shaurya Chakra winner Parshotam Kumar, a village defense committee (VDC) member, in Gunda Khawas village of Rajouri district at 3 am.
It is noteworthy that Parshotam Kumar was recently awarded the Shaurya Chakra by the President for helping kill a terrorist in Kalakote area of Rajouri district. He said that after the attack, a large-scale operation was conducted to search for the terrorists, which is still going on.
There has been an increase in terrorist attacks in the division in recent times. Since June 9 this year, there have been six terrorist attacks in Jammu division, in which 12 security personnel have been martyred. These attacks took place in Poonch, Rajouri, Doda and Kathua districts.
