New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on Chandigarh tour today. He has inaugurated 24 hours water supply project in Manimajra. Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria was also present with him on this occasion. Along with this, AAP Mayor Kuldeep Kumar and Congress MP from Chandigarh Manish Tiwari were also invited to the program. Addressing the people on this occasion, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the people of Chandigarh will no longer need to buy mineral water. The people here will now get water 24 hours. Earlier women had to set an alarm to fill water. Now it will not be needed. Besides, there will be no need to order tanker for water supply.
Further Amit Shah said that this is an important project for the population of one lakh. From today this area has started getting clean water 24 hours 365 days. So congratulations to all of you. Water will be available 24 hours in your homes. The people of Manimajra will get water with full pressure. Along with this, he said that the Government of India is also making arrangements to supply water to every household. Till now the work of providing water to 15 crore houses has been completed. Clean water is reaching 74% of the houses in the country. I assure you that before the completion of the third term of Prime Minister Modi, the work of providing clean water to all the houses in the country will be completed.
