New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a key associate of Canada-based separatist terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa in a case linked to a large terrorist network. This information was given in an official statement on Friday. This case is related to the supply of dangerous weapons for extortion from other people including businessmen. Baljeet Singh alias Rana Bhai alias Balli, a resident of Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Thursday, the NIA said in a statement. The statement said Bally was the main supplier of arms to the people of Landa in Punjab. It has been said that these weapons were used to carry out large-scale terrorist activities including extortion from businessmen and other people. NIA said that in the case NIA During the investigation, a person named Gurpreet Singh Gopi was arrested, who has been identified as an associate of Landa and another separatist terrorist Satnam Singh Satta was also arrested. NIA had registered this case on its own on July 10, 2023. Investigation of the case revealed that Baljit Singh had also supplied arms to Satnan Singh Satta as part of a larger conspiracy of various banned separatist terrorist organizations to destabilize India by carrying out violent incidents in Punjab and elsewhere. Both Landa and Satta are believed to be involved in carrying out activities from Canada to promote terrorism in India. The statement said that the investigation of separatists is going on as part of the NIA action against terrorist organizations.
