In fact, Canada’s main opposition Conservative Party has released attack advertisements targeting NDP leader Jagmeet Singh for supporting Trudeau’s minority Liberal Party government. He was first elected as the MP for Burnaby, British Columbia in February 2019 and was re-elected to the House in the 2021 national election. He became leader of the NDP in 2017.
