Meet Hayer raised the issue of connecting Rajpura to Chandigarh by rail.

Chandigarh: Apna Punjab Media: Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, MP from Sangrur parliamentary constituency, raised the issue of connecting Rajpura-Chandigarh by rail to Malwa region in the Lok Sabha today. He said that the people of Malwa depend on Chandigarh for health facilities, education and government work. Therefore, it is necessary to lay a railway line from Rajpura to Chandigarh. He said that earlier a political family did not allow this to happen for their personal interests. But now the AAP government will give full support to the Center for the rail line. He said that the relaxation given to senior citizens in Railways has been stopped for four years and it should be started again. Apart from this, the relaxation given to transgenders and women should be restarted.
