Sydeny : Apna Punjab Media : A man has been shot dead overnight in Sydney’s south-west as police probe a “common link” between the latest series of public shootings to rock the city. Police were called to Broughton Street, Canterbury about 2am and found a man with gunshot wounds. The man believed to be 28 years old was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.NSW Police say the investigation is in its early stages, but it is believed to be a targeted incident. Taskforce Magnus has been established to investigate links between the spate of recent shootings in Sydney, dating back to the murder of drug lord Alen Moradian in Bondi Junction on June 27. Initial investigations suggest a link exists between those incidents and a conflict over drug supply in the city’s south-west. Five people have been shot in the past five days across the suburbs of Greenacre and Canterbury.
