Major train accident in Jharkhand, Mumbai-Howrah derailment, 2 passengers killed, more than 20 injured

Jharkhand: Apna Punjab Media: 18 coaches of train number 12810 Mumbai-Howrah mail derailed in Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand on Tuesday morning. It is reported that two people died in this incident. Also, around 20 passengers were injured. Of the total injured, five people sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene, although some passengers have been hospitalized.

The PRO of Chandrasekhar Railway Division said that the train is being arranged to send the passengers. The police said that the accident took place at 3.45 am near Barabans, about 80 kilometers from Jamshedpur. This place is very close to Western Singhbhum.
18 out of 22 coaches of Mumbai-Howrah mail derailed near Barabans. Among them, a passenger in B4 compartment died. Along with this, another person is said to be trapped in the said coach.
It is being told that there were a total of 16 passenger coaches, one was a pantry car, while one was a power car. The injured were given medical aid in Barabans. Now he is being taken to Chakradharpur for better treatment. He said that the rescue operation is going on. Western Singhbhum Divisional Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary said that two people have died in this incident, while 20 people have been injured. A team has been called for relief and rescue work. The place where the incident took place is near the border of Western Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan.
