Lusara, in collaboration with Italian Sangats, organized a function dedicated to the martyrdom day of Blessed Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.

Milan: Apna Punjab Media: Like every year, this year too a function was organized by the Sangats of Lusara Italy to commemorate the martyrdom day of the fifth Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The program was started with the speech of Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji. After the prayer the children sang kirtan. Narrator Bhai Talwinder Singh, Head Granthi Gurdwara Singh Sabha Novolara enthralled the Sangat with the story. On this occasion, Lusara Mayor Staley addressed the Sikh congregation. Later he participated in this program as the chief guest. Bhupinder Singh Holland and Dr. Gurinder Singh Bharat offered floral tributes on the occasion of Martyrdom Day celebrations. Bhupinder Singh presented the book ‘Lessons in World War-2’ written about the Sikh soldiers martyred in the Second World War, to the Mayor of Lusara. In which the name and village of each Sikh soldier is written. On behalf of India, Dr. Gurinder Singh presented a medal with a photo related to the Second World War to the Mayor and many other Italian women were also honoured. In this program, Italy’s famous Dhadi Bhai Sukhbir Singh Bhor and his team informed the Sangat about the Dhadi period along with the history of martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. On this occasion, Guru’s langar continued all the time. Langar was served by Gurdwara Singh Sabha Novolara. Various stalls were also set up with the help of devotees.
