Amritsar: Apna Punjab Media: Convenor Gurpratap Singh Wadala and other leaders of ‘Shomani Akali Dal Reform Movement’ launched by the angry Akali faction of Shomani Akali Dal said here today that their aim is to strengthen the party and with its support people Reputation has to be restored. He paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib here today and prayed for the success of Guru Ghar. Bhai Manjeet Singh, Sucha Singh Chhotepur and other leaders were present on this occasion.
Talking to the media here, Gurpratap Singh Wadala said that his aim is not to humiliate anyone but he wants to strengthen the party. He said that the leadership led by Sukhbir Singh Badal has made many mistakes in the past, due to which the party has suffered huge losses and people are angry with the party. A petition has been sought from Akal Takht in this regard and the decision is awaited. After this, further work will be done on the reform of the party.
Let us tell you that acting on the letter given by the disgruntled faction of Shomani Akali Dal to Shri Akal Takht on July 1, Panj Singh Sahib has summoned Sukhbir Singh Badal. He has been ordered to appear personally at Shri Akal Takht within 15 days and give his explanation, in response to which Sukhbir Singh Badal has also been ordered to appear at Shri Akal Takht as a humble Sikh and give his explanation.
