Kurukshetra: ON Punjab Media: Applied Geophysics students of the Department of Geophysics, Kurukshetra University have been selected to represent India at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Evolve Project Presentation during the prestigious conference in Houston, Texas, USA Vice-Chancellor Professor Som Nath Sachdeva said that the (SEG) program emphasized global solutions to meet the world’s energy needs, enabling two aspects: energy exploration and carbon reduction. He said, โI am proud that our students will showcase their talent at the global level. The selection of the Kurukshetra team for the SEG Evolve project reflects the quality of education and research offered at Kurukshetra.โ Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Sharma appreciated the efforts of the team and encouraged them to put in more efforts in the conference. Deputy Director Dr. Jimmy Sharma said that Rohit Chauhan (team leader), Abhishek Manwal and Ishika Aggarwal will represent the university in the international program to be held in Houston from 26 to 29 August. โOur students have demonstrated extraordinary talent and commitment,โ said Professor BS Chaudhary, Chairman, Department of Geophysics.
Kurukshetra University team will represent India in the conference to be held in America.
