Janhvi Kapoor’s bond with her mother, the legendary actress Sridevi, was incredibly close. So, when Sridevi unexpectedly passed away just before Janhvi’s debut film Dhadak hit theatres, Janhvi Kapoor was understandably devastated. In a recent interview, she bravely shared the immense emotional burden she carried while promoting the film amidst personal tragedy.
Recalling a particularly difficult moment, Janhvi spoke about experiencing a panic attack on a dance reality show. Unaware of the show’s plans, she was caught off guard when they played a surprise tribute video to her mother.
“It was right after everything happened,” Janhvi said on Mashable India. “We were promoting Dhadak and it was all still so raw. My team shielded me from anything that might remind me of Mom, but this show didn’t tell us about their tribute.”
