Iqbal Singh, former Jathedar of Sri Patna Sahib, was accused of violating the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, religious punishment was pronounced under the leadership of Panj Singh Sahib.

Meanwhile, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Giani Harpreet Singh, Giani Sultan Singh and other Singh Sahibs reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib and discussed some important issues and former Jathedar of Patna Sahib Iqbal Singh was given the title of Takht Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has pronounced religious punishment. Jathedar of Akal Takht Sri Harminder Sahib Raghbir Singh, while announcing the sentence, said that Japuji Sahib will have to be recited continuously for 11 days. Kirtan Sarvan will have to be performed continuously for 1 hour in Gurudwara Sahib. Arrangements have been made for the service of cooking langar utensils for 11 days. Along with this, a dag worth Rs 1000 should be made and worshiped in Patna Sahib. Jathedar Iqbal Singh has been accused of violating the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. This decision was taken after a 2-hour meeting of the Jathedars of the five Takhats.
